Unit Overview

• Labs: 3 Cath Labs
• Additional Areas: Inpatient holding area and radial lounge for outpatients
• Staffing:
• Cath Lab: 7 Techs, 13 RNs (including manager)
• Radial Lounge: 5 RNs, 1 LNA
• Operating Hours:
• Radial Lounge: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Cath Lab: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (M–F) with 24-hour call coverage
• Equipment: OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, Pacers, Rota, CSI, Opsens, CathWorks, Penumbra
• EMR Systems: Sunrise / Allscripts, Mac Lab
• Patient Population: Adult
• Dress Code: Ceil Blue scrubs provided by hospital
  

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• RN License
• ACLS
  
  

Required Experience

• Critical care experience
• Experience with Impella and IABP
• Independent titration of drips
  
  

Procedures Performed

• Left and right heart catheterizations
• Drug studies
• TAVR, TMVR
• ASD/PFO closures
• Stents and angioplasty
• Atherectomy (Rota, CSI, Shockwave)
• Mechanical thrombectomy (INARI, EKOS)
• IABP and Impella support
• Mitral clip placement
• Temporary pacing wires
• Pressure wire assessments
• VSD closures
• CardioMEMS implantation
